Water Tank Installation

UTDF, following community needs assessments, enables communities to build their own 15,000 Lt ferro-cement water tanks. These fill during the 3 month rainy season to provide potable water.

Depending on the soil conditions, some are dug deep into the ground, whilst others are sited above ground. The materials for these water tanks are given to identified families, along with technical support; as people learn to make and maintain their own tanks. Since the Foundation began in 2023, UTDF has provided over 120 water tanks to needy families. These tanks have significantly saved members from 2-6 hours a day of collecting water from local springs.
